reNOVAte

as a separate download.

Required RDOS demo system files for U*IX systems (do not
download for Windows or DOS systems):
Installation Notes for Win/32 systems (Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP/Millenium)
The demo.exe file contains 8 files and requires 4 megabytes of file
system space for downloading, unpacking and program use.
Chapter 2 in the User's
Manual describes how to load the
reNOVAte
product and obtain the software installation key codes.
The following list summarizes the steps needed to get RDOS up and running on
a Win/32 system:
- Create a test directory on your machine (something like
"renovate") to contain the demonstration system.
-
Download the reno_NT.exe
program to the created directory using your browser.
-
Run the reno_NT.exe
program in the created
directory; the unpacking program will request the name of the target
subdirectory, so use the full name of the created test directory.
-
As described in the Chapter 2 of the User's
Manual, the 'install' program needs to be run that generates the software
keys for your particular system. The software key code information
must be presented to Wild Hare or SimuLogics so the corresponding key
code may be given to you. These codes are not known until the software
has been loaded on a specific computer.
-
The software keycodes may be either e.mailed,
phoned or faxes to Wild Hare or SimuLogics. E.mail to install@SimuLogics.com
might be the most convenient method, but the Wild Hare phone (303) 466-7717
or installation pager (303) 767-0014 may be used in time-sensitive
situations.
-
Enter the returned key code in response to the
corresponding 'install' question.
-
Run the
reNOVAte
program - in a few moments the RDOS "FILENAME" prompt will appear.
-
Hit the enter key to load the default RDOS "SYS"tem;
answer the date question with 12/31/99 and the time with whatever value is
appropriate (i.e. 13:23:23).
-
The infamous RDOS "R" prompt should
appear.
-
Now enjoy the thrill of running an exciting piece
of history on your PC.
Note that not all RDOS 7.5x utilities are Y2K
compliant.
