IMDOS    We are seeking hardware and software information for the Fairchild 9445 processors and their IMDOS software and languages, including Pascal, BASIC, FORTRAN and REX.

INI

We are seeking hardware and software information for the INI [Information Now, Inc.] Nova look-alike processors.

MBC/M

The microNova Board Computers had a dedicated real-time operating system available which we would like to acquire.

IPT ECLIX Operating System

IPT licensed a UNIX version 7 based OS for the DG Eclipse (!) - anybody still have a copy of it?

Personal Stories!

We are receiving wonderful stories from DG employees and users worldwide about DG, DG equipment and applications.  We are obtaining permission to add some of the response "highlights" to a new web section dedicated to the "personal side" of the DG legacy.

IPT 'C' compiler

We are looking for documentation and software for the IPT 'C' compiler for AOS, rev 2.0 or later.

Xebec XDOS

Xebec produced a DOS for use with its various disk controllers in the very early 70s.  Anybody have a copy of it?

Calma CDOS

This is the multi-user RDOS-derived operating system created by Calma in the 1970s.

Original Data General DOS

We are looking for copies of the original DG DOS system that was introduced in 1970.  This is not the DG Diskette Operating System that was introduced in 1975, but was the operating system upon which all subsequent major DG operating systems were based.  Unfortunately, our original tapes, including the sources, have proved unreadable. (Mr. Hendersen, are you out there?)

Cylon Program

Looking for the Cylon program for AOS - those  who remember know why.

Software brochure

Looking for the "Software Isn't So Hard to Understand" brochure.

MP/OS

We are looking for copies of the DG MP/OS system that was originally introduced for the micro products.

Bastards

Looking for the original DG From the Bastards magazine ad.

MICOS

We are looking for copies of the MICOS operating system and the corresponding BASIC language for testing and archival purposes.

RTX

We are looking for copies of the RTX operating system for testing and archival purposes.

RMS

We are looking for copies of the RMS operating system for testing and archival purposes.  This was the system created for Aeronutronic Ford by Izar Shy Associates as proposed for the NWS AFOS system.

MSOS DCC introduced the Mass Storage Operating System for Nova[-compatibles] with tape and/or disk devices.

PL/M

Our tape containing the PL/M compiler for the Nova is no where to be found.

PL/N

We're searching for the internal Data General PL/N compiler.

IFOS Information Now, Inc. (INI) introduced this "data base" system for use with its line of Nova-compatible computers.

BCPL

That same  tape contained the BCPL compiler for the Nova.

"Easy Basic"

We are looking for information on the "Easy Basic System" that Data General developed in the 1975-1977 timeframe.  This product never saw official introduction due to "political considerations", but was a flexible, powerful and [yeah] easy-to-use system based on Virtual Machine design.  Sounds familiar to today's technical software panacea, eh?  Document numbers in the  093-000211 range described how to use the system, and the PL/I and Basic language documentation are being sought. (Roger and Josh, where are you?)

VMOS

We are looking for copies of the VMOS operating system and the ASGOL system for testing and archival purposes.

FORTH

We are looking for copies of the Forth language and operating system for testing and archival purposes.

C

We are looking for copies of the 'C' language and operating system for testing and archival purposes.

Pascal

We are looking for copies of the Pascal language and operating system for testing and archival purposes.  RDS and Rhintek distributed them, along with Lancaster Pascal.

original SuperNova map?

Does anybody know of any application that used the original SuperNova or Nova 800 memory allocation and protection hardware?  This map is not the map design created for the Nova 830/840 and continued thereafter, but was a special-purpose memory map that divided memory into 4096-word blocks or 256 word pages.

MUMPS Yes, the original Mass Hospital Multi-Programming System was ported to the Eclipse, and we are searching for a copy to archive.  Many years ago (okay, decades ago) this was part of the User's Group Library, but has been missing for years.
OSTRICH This is Dr. Monroe Newborn's world-class chess program that gained fame in the early '70s and was the precursor of the current champion chess program running on IBM mainframes.
DSOS The DOS-compatible Standalone Operating Systems was one of the many obscure operating systems for the Nova, but this one was available from Data General in 1972.

TRIPOS

This BCPL-based operating system was supposedly ported to the Nova system in the late 1970s.

MBC/M microNova software microNOVA Board Computer software for Nova DOS or Eclipse AOS  (DMBC.LB, PDMBC.SR and PDMBCE.SR for DOS, PAMDBC.SR, PAMDBCE.SR. AMBC.LB and AMBCE.LB for AOS).
Manuals, manuals, manuals! any documentation or manuals!
Any other software, software, software! any other DG software - 3rd party, DG 16-bit or 32-bit software!
